Between Mouser and 2 orders from Newark I managed to get all of my parts in for my first dongle.  Problem is it seems that I have ordered parts for V2 but have a V1 board.  I put it together today and I have parts left over including red and green LED's...  I feel like I did when I was 12 years old putting together a model car and trying to figure out what to do with the extra parts.  I did order extra of almost everything so I am tempted to go ahead and build a V2 dongle and use the V1 for a spare.

Congrats Christmasaddict.   You can never have too many spare parts...

I've found all the parts or subs on Mouser but for the life of me can't find the Moffet or a suitable sub that is in stock anywhere. Anyone found it recently?

I'm pretty sure that the following MOSFET is an acceptable substitute (pending RJ's official blessing):

I'm a newbie so I don't know what can sub for 815-ach-40-ek. I did however buy it at Newark.com today though. Shipping was a killer for that little part though.

Hello,

I have tried looking through out the site for the DMX Dongle Mosfet.  I can't seem to find a solution anywhere.

If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.  I am setting up for Halloween.

Sincerely,
CaptainBli

I purchased my FQP2706 MOSFETs from online components.com - You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login - they currently show 0 in stock but 2,000 Due 10/3/10.  They have a minimum $35.00 order so I ordered my top entry RJ45 Jacks from them - You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to make up the difference.  You could run some other MFG P/Ns through their search box to see if they have other items you need to make it to $35.00.  They may have slighter higher prices than the other vendors but if you need this MOSFET for this season they might be your best bet.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Hi Folks,
I am a newbie, and apologise in advance if this post is in the wrong place.
I am in New Zealand and have just built my 1st sort-of-succesful Lynx Express and now am trying to find Dongle parts.
I'm trying to deal with the NZ dealer for mouser, but they don't have a couple of the parts in their online catalogue & I don't know enough to know what to substitute them with. Can anyone give me part numbers for acceptable substitutes for;
"580-MER1S0505SC DC/DC Converters & Regulators 1W 5Vin 5Vout 200mA 1kVDC Isolated SIP" and the
"571-55202514 RJ45 Modular Jack" please? They have to be mouser part numbers.
I have be searching the forums and already tried FQP27P06 for the modular jack, but they're out of those, of course.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers
-Ellen

Oops, scratch the last line I said about trying FQP27P06 for modular jacks. What I should have said was that I've already tried part # 580-NMR100C for the DC Converters as mentioned by someone else in a previous post/thread and the NZ mouser dealer doesn't have any.

Can anyone confirm for me whether or not this would work, pleeease?
