Lynx DMX Dongle Manual
« on: March 30, 2008, »
Attached is the assembly manual. The Parts list is in it. You can save about $5 by requesting the pic chip as a sample from microchip. They will ship it to you totally free. This will get your cost to about $45 in parts.

Some of the pictures are not as good as I would have liked. If some one assembles theirs and get some better pictures for replacement please send them to me so I can change the pictures out.

As you can see the assembly is easy and straight forward with everything being DIP and easy to solder. It should only take you about 45 minutes to assemble the board.

I have not posted the part for the case yet as I may have some custom cases made. I am going tomorrow to see about it. I will post how to get a case in the next few days one way or another.  Either way it is a drop in for the case I used. you just have to cut the sqare holes. If the custom case gets done they will be in it.

Warning I messed up and this is the wrong number!  you want this

LP-35MBG  it is the correct part number.

Sorry the other was the correct number but it changed at the end of the project to fit the RG45.

An error was pointed out to me in the parts list. I have fixed it and reposted the maual with the change.

It showed 2 28 pin sockets when it should have been 1 and you need 2 8 pin sockets.

If you ordered already you can simply cut the extra 28 pin socket to get your two 8 pin. I have done this a few times. a bandsaw works well or a good knife will work.

Message removed since it was talking about the wrong case part number for the Dongle.
