Mouser Back Order
« on: November 20, 2009, »
Anyone be able to help me out with some alternate parts, or maybe you have some laying around?  I need the following, in the listed qtys.:

Mouser part #'s

571-5556416-1 Telecom & Ethernet Connectors 8 PCB TOP ENTRY (need 12)
604-SA04-11GWA  LED Displays .4 GREEN  (need 12)
688-SPPH430200  Pushbutton Switches VERT MOMENTRY 2 POLE  (need 8)
294-15K-RC  Carbon Film Resistors 15Kohms 5%

This is my first year attempting to build something like this, although I have messed with MOBOs and stuff like that.  I'm no elec engineer, thats for sure.  So please forgive my stupidity and lack of knowledge on how to replace these parts.  I found the missing dongle parts I needed, by reading the boards, but have not seen much about these parts.  tried a few of the other vendors online, but they didnt have the parts either.

Thanks in advance for any assistance rendered!!

I must have blinky blinky, flashy flashy.....I'm hooked!!!  might have to start going to support group meetings....lol

Did you place an order for these parts already on Mouser?  I purchase the backordered parts from them all the time, and they usually get them out to me within 4-5 days (once they get them back in stock).  I believe I'm actually backordered for those parts as well.  I believe you'll have plenty of work to do before they get those parts to you.  I would just go ahead and get in queue on those backordered parts and hope for the best.

From what I've seen on selected parts, some manufacturers aren't living up to their delivery schedule.  I've had a few items on an order that I placed back in September still not come available, and Mouser keeps pushing back their delivery date.

So just check the planned delivery dates before you place the order.

Also, Digi-Key and several other places sometimes have items in stock that Mouser doesn't, although some have minimum quantity limits.

What's the difference between these? Might be a replaceable part.

Mouser Part #:   571-5569284-1 as a replacement for 571-5556416-1 Telecom & Ethernet Connectors 8 PCB TOP ENTRY (need 12)

For 688-SPPH430200  Pushbutton Switches VERT MOMENTRY 2 POLE  this place says they have it in stock:

(removed non-valid part number to eliminate confusion)

That is not a push button but a latching button. Will not work.

Will this LED display work?  The wavelength is 3nm different.  I have no idea, but this one they have in stock.

I ordered the correct part directly from Kingbright.  Shipping was more than the total parts cost....ouch!!!

What did you decide on the push button switch? We could go in together on some of these things and save some shipping costs.  I'm backordered on the same items.

Havent found anything for the switch or resistor so far.  Did find the LED displays, ordered directly from Kingbright.  also found the RJ45 jacks from Jameco.  I am going to order the jacks today from Jameco.  do you want in?  send me PM with amount you need.

I think the only part I am missing now, are the switches (688-spph430200)  I need 8, if anyone has some to lend.  I think sirwesley needs some too.  Resistor I will look for at the shack.  got the displays and the rj45 jacks ordered.
