Part substitutions for the Freestyle
« on: November 22, 2009, »
Can anybody verify these part substitutions for me?

Oscillator:
815-ACH-48-EK instead of 520-TCH4800-X

15K resistors for the H11AA1 - They are out of the 1 watt, since I will never use 220v 1/2 watt should be ok right?

Thanks,
Chris

815-ACH-48-EK should work.

No 1/2 watt is not OK. They dissipate a lot of heat. There is tons of other 1 watt 15k resistors avaliable.

I thought it would be easy to find another 15k 1 watt resistor. But I can't

What if I used 22k?

Mouser pn# 261-15K-RC about 1200 in stock ready for delievery.
or
660-MO1C153J  over 400 in stock.
or
660-MOS1CT52R153J  Just shy of 4000 in stock
or
281-15K-RC  almost 600 in stock.

Ugh,

Sorry. I don't know why those did not come up on my searches.
