Vixen Sequence Setup for Scheduled shows

(1/2) > >>

rrowan:
Hi Folks,

This has come up a few times. So I figured I would give it a shot of explaining it for everyone.

When editing your sequence(s) you normally set the channel names and colors for each and adjustable preview in a profile. When you run a scheduled show you don't want a lot of extra data in there causing slow down and possible com port errors. One way to do that is when either using the seq for a show or putting it on the "show" computer is to flatten the file.

In Vixen with the sequence loaded. Select menu Profile and then select flatten profile into sequence. Click on YES until you get back to the edit screen.

Click on Attached plugins and remove any thing in there (ie: adjustable preview, enttec pro usb, etc)

Now save the sequence for the show  (rename if you wanted too "Save As")

-- Show Computer --
Created your Schedule (Programs menu, Manage)
- Create program and add sequences.
- Select first option - Program plugin and click on plugin setup
- - Only select the Entec USB Pro plug in and set your com port and 115200 baud rate.

Save/Exit program manager
Schedule the program (ie Time and dates)
Test

Hope that helps

Cheers

Rick R.

Hi John,

I figure when there is more time I'll put together a wiki page for it with pictures. Sometimes whats in my brain does not always translate to the fingers :D

Cheers
