SSR Queston for Freestyle
« on: December 09, 2009, »
I'm trying to put together what I'll need for my first build (128 Channel Freestyle) and I wanted to know what the DMX option does for the SSR's. I assume its not mandatory for it to function, what functionality does it provide?  I was gonna just add it anyway as the cost difference isn't very much, but If it's something I'll never use I don't want to make it anymore complicated than it has to be.

Thanks
Phil

Hi Phil

If you are connecting the SSR4s to a Freestyle you DO NOT need the dmx option for the ssr4s. That just adds cost and components that you don't need.

The dmx option for the ssr4s turns a 4 channel relay into a 4 channel controller.

I have ssr4s both ways. A bunch connected to the Freestyle and just (4) ssr4-dmx that are not connected to the FS.

Cheers
