Recent LE Mouser BOM Changes?
« on: December 31, 2009, »
I originally ordered Mouser parts for the just the dongle and my 1st LE board (ver 4).  Since several parts were backordered, I decided to update my order for the LE boards I wasn't going to touch 'til the new year.  It looks like the Mouser parts list has changed, and I am not sure what's up since I'm a noob.  I caught the posts about the 3.3V regulator changing from 595-UA78M33CKCSE3 to 879-UPC2933BHFZ .  I saw the troubleshooting problems with the 7805's so I wonder if the change I see on the parts list is the solution (new part is 511-L78S05CV)?  The other change seems to be:
581-SA105E104Z -> 581-SA115C104KAR

Am I right on all this?
Cheers,
Fred

This list is correct for the V4 express pcb's looks like the Mouser link is still off on the 7805 part it should be 511-L7805ABV  check your order against the wiki BOM list instead of the one at mouser. I can not change the mouser list since I did not create it so I will get with someone to get it updated. Yes these changes were made for cold temperture operations.

Hi Fred,

Most if not all of the changes were done for colder temperatures.

The 5v reg is now 511-L7805ABV

Hope that helps

Was there a problem with the V2/V3 5.0V regulator also? That's a lot of 'V's!
