I'm not sure, but soldering wasn't this much fun in school.

Totally agree, just made a power supply and a radio in school  >:(

Looks like a fun kit I would love to give it a try.  At a minimum it will add a talking piece to the house/garage.  ;D

Someone made a comment above but a "countdown to christmas" timer would be cool.  Seen those go for way to much

I don't think that you would save much money on building your own countdown timer.  Those large display panels are not cheap and by the time you print the board, purchase LED displays and the rest of the components including the case, you could easily pass the cost of just buying one.  Mine cost me less than $50 and I doubt that I could build it for less.
If at first you don't succeed,
your not cut out for sky diving

Hey RJ,

I just noticed but the First outside LED the one by the Number 1 is positioned next to the 4th minute LED.  All the others are every 5th LED/minute any reason for that?  I'm talking about the 12 outside LED's  :).  Was that just for location purposes so you didn't have to squish the "1"

It was not possible to put the led in the middle of the number one and moving the number enough to give room made it look bad so I compramised.

Any thoughts on when this might go into Co-op?  Might get a few of these as Christmas gifts....

I'd like a few of these kits.  I'd be willing to run the Co-Op but I don't know if I'm OK to do it?  What are the requirements?

And the coop is now open.  Please note that it closes on 9/12 since RJ has to get the boards to me before he leaves.

Anybody know what the 8 pin connection at the top of the clock, next to the top .1uf capacitor, is for?  If it has been discussed before I missed it, but it is not marked on the PCB.
