Chicagoland Regional - Lynx Equipment
« on: August 23, 2010, »
All,

Is anyone coming to the Chicagoland event that is also a Lynx user? I am looking for someone to bring a DMX dongle and an LE.

I am flying in and have limited room for items to carry with me. Plus I have not had a chance to test my Lynx equipment to ensure it all works before the event. Please advise. Thanks!

Mark

I would take your untested equipment to the meet.

If someone has a working dongle and LE then you can check out yours for proper operation at the meet.

It is not fun taking several untested pieces and connect them together to see if they work.

Testing one piece at a time with a known good system is the way to go if you are running out of time to get your display operational. When you know your dongle and one LE are OK then you can go home and test the rest of your LE's and spare dongles if you have any.

Mark,

I'll be at the mini.  I am bringing an LE V5 to show to one of the attendees.  I will have the appropriate gear (including wireless) to show it off in its full glory.

Great idea Dennis! My 3 Dongles (yes 3) are small enough, they don't take up too much room. That will help with my testing!

It  sounds like RJ's lighting equipment is going to be well represented in Chicago.

Chicagoland Regional 2010
THE CHICAGOLAND REGIONAL MINI PLUS

The Regional will be held over Labor Day weekend, September 3, 4 and 5, 2010.

This event is intended for everyone, not just the great decorators in Illinois and its surrounding states.

In the past, we have had attendees come from as far away as California, Utah and Texas.

The instructors and classes are always top notch.

Please mark your calendars, this event only happens every two years!

I'll be updating this thread as more information becomes available.

If there are classes you would like to see, or if you have any suggestions, please let me know!
