Question? is there much difference in the case besides the LEDS from version 1 to 2? i am just thinking since mine does not go outside i could just get a version 2 if the mounting holes are the same? does not seem to be much interest in the version 1 case?

According to RJ, there is a slight change in the spacing and location of the USB and Cat5 connectors on the v2 pcb.  Plus, as you noted, the two holes for the LEDs.  I have asked the vendor for an update to get a price for a quantity of 25 for the Version 1 case which should drop the price down to around the same as the 25 qty break for the version 2 if not a little less. 

My personal opinion is that the proper case makes the project look awesome.  You could try to make a v1 pcb fit a v2 case and vice versa but if you can hold out a bit for the pricing update on the v1 at 25 units you may find the cost is reasonable.  I agree that the interest level on the v1 case is low but I offered it as I know there are still a few v1 pcbs out there waiting to be built. 

In the end it's your call but that's why I set this coop up to offer both.  If you can hold off on a decision I should have the updated pricing on Monday.

Received pricing from the vendor for qty of 25 on the Version 1 case. 

Updated first post with info.  With all fees the unit cost at 25 would be $7.00 plus shipping.

If you need or think you might need a Veresion 1 case here's your chance.

This coop is winding down.  Just over 26 hours to go.

We've passed the 100 unit mark on the Version 2 cases. 

The vendor sent me updated pricing to give us a break at an order quantity of 25 on the Version 1 cases. 
If you need, might need, or know of anyone that might need a Version 1 case, this is a great time to get one. 
I can't say for certain, but based on the response in this coop, the odds of putting together another order big enough to get decent pricing on the customized Version 1 cases are slim. 

Version 2 is now the current "standard" as it were.

Please take a moment to double check the 2nd post to ensure I have your order listed correctly.  Once the coop closes I'll get the final pricing together and send the Payment PM's out by the end of the week.
