1k Resistor
« on: October 21, 2010, »
Hey All - I just got my parts for the V2 board.  I noticed that I didn't have a 1k resistor that seems to be new and not in the manual right below the clock.

Should I keep empty, or just slip in an extra 1k 1/4 watt resistor that I have laying around?

Hi everyone.

Sorry, but that resistor was not included in the COOP because the BOM that RJ sent me did not have it listed...just like in the wiki.

Sorry about that.... >:(

Short answer - you don't have to have it, but the data LED won't work without it. Not a big loss, but if you want the feel good of being able to see that the DMX512 data iis coming in, stick the 1K 1/4watt resistor in - that's what I did.

No big deal on the resistor.  I have them.  And if someone does not, then spend 99 cents at the shack.
