Re: New Clock Issue II

I too finished my Aeon had issues so I flashed PIC, but when I set the time it will only run while I'm  holding down the SELECT button. If I let go of the SELECT it stops as if to let me set time again?
Checked all my solder points look good. Any ideas where I may look. Thank you.

I missed this post because it was buried in a different thread so I moved it to it's own. Sorry for the delay.

I do not have a answer off the top of my head. First I would try a reflash again of the pic.

I wonder if you have a Ground not soldered and since the Select button provides one when you push it the clock runs. I would touch up each solder joint (not the leds they are not doing this) and see if it helps would be my second suggesstion.

Let me know and if we need to get together in chat to troubleshoot we can do that. But do let me know so we can get you fixed.

RJ, Thank you I was not sure so I just added to an active thread. Thanks lesson learned.

Now I'm really embarrassed  <fp. to tell you what I had wrong. It was my "Select" & "Set" switches were both backwards. I corrected them, aeon is working like a charm. Thank you, for the help & a great clock.

Joe,
Way to go!! You figured it out and were kind enough to share your experience.
We all learn from our screwups. I have learned a lot.
I learned how to desolder after I built my first LE ;)

Yeah that makes perfect sense! not sure why I did not think of that.

It thought you were always pushing it until you really pushed it  <fp.
