Version 3 & 4 - 5V LED won't light

So I have 2 boards that I have fully assembled and everything seems to work, however the 5V LEDs won't light on either the V3.0 or V4.0 Express boards.

Is this anything I should be concerned with or do I just assume that it's a bad batch of LEDs? 

I've hooked everything up to xLights and tested all channels and all seems to work just fine.

Anyone have any ideas?  Should I just ignore it?

A picture would help but to just go off my head I would say

1 - Led's in backwards
2 - resistor not on for 5v or wrong one.

We know you have 5v or the system would not function.

Do you have the LEDs installed correctly?

I am measuring 5V across the LED (Anode to Cathode)...so I guess all is well.

The LED should not have 5 volts across the leads, should be less around 3.4 volts.

The LED is in backwards, as LED's do not allow current to flow in the reverse direction, just like a regular diodes.

Thanks for clearing that up!  However, I'm just gonna say all is well, cause I know I now know for sure I am getting 5V via the meter and the board is working as it should.  The problem is only with the LED orientation, which is something I can live with.  Don't really feel like unsoldering to flip that guy around.   Guess I should have paid more attention in assembly, which I did last year, so I really don't remember.  Pretty happy about that being my only mistake though
