I have a LE that is around the corner of our house and it doesn't get a signal. If I run a cable from LE 4 to LE 5, put the jumper on   the wireless and connect the cable to DMX IN on 5 from DMX OUT on 4 will that work?
If it will work, I will have to build a cable.

Yes the LE DMX out2 generates a signal from the EX/RX this is one of the reasons I added it to the Express.
