Rick,
I think they are marvelous.
We are our harshest critics. I would be willing to bet that you are the only one that thinks there is anything wrong with these sequences.
Great job.

Many thanks John and Ron

I really like my trees. Can you image how they will be with a SS controller in each tree  ;D
Unless software catches up quickly I don't see doing the micro trees in node mode. I think they would be in string mode.

Cheers

Thanks Larry and Jeff

Nice to hear. Sadly I can't finish the last seq. Seems I didn't start recording Carol of the Bells on time. Its too cold to go outside now. Maybe later I can re record the show and post it. I am hoping to fix a couple of problems outside (weather related) to get a good showing.

Cheers

Hi John

I am sure your display will be awesome. In fact I bet better than mine since you are more detail oriented then me. I used the Mac today to edit and post all of the video. Just glad work brought it.

Cheers

Just a small update

Last night I had some family members stop by to watch my show. My dad, my sister her son and my sister's best friend and her family. I have known the friend since she was 3 yrs old. We all stood out in the below freezing cold and watch the show. Tonight I was at my parents house for a party and my wife's brother and family watch the show along with one of my co-worker and her dog. Its not much but at least I have somebody watching the show and not just some drive-bys. Last night while standing in the cold I notice micro tree 5 half of the green lights were out. I got that fixed today in the day light (one socket was not making contact with the light bulb). So far the roof has been solid no flashing since I installed 3 c7 lights. Just really happy with the Lynx hardware and xLights this year.

Cheers

Nice job Rick, loved the when christmas comes to town.  Very good song and well done.

How tall are your arches by chance?  One of the things im looking to add next year and trying to get a good estimate for what I need.

Thanks batdrive

My wife loves that song

The arches are 10' grey pvc 3/4"
The rebar anchors is 6' spacing with a height of 41"
I use 7 strings of 100ct lights (I just like a center top set of lights)

Cheers

Rick,

Really nice work.  How many lights do you have on your mini trees?  I am thinking of building 1 or 2 small trees using smart strings for next year and want to get an idea of how many i need.

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe

Thanks I like my micro trees also. Currently they have two set of lights on them red and green with 100 ct mini lights each. I really don't know how many nodes I will need for each tree. But I do plan to test one tree once I get some nodes from the SS coop when that starts.

Cheers

Hi Folks

Been thinking of what to do tonight. Well I finally have a plan (better late than never :))

So I plan is to run my show like normal until 11pm and then switch over to the Nativity display and play some music. I just joined music from a cd into one mp3. The cd is called Christmas Classics all done by the New York Symphony Orchestra.

Playlist:
The First Noel
God Rest Y Merry Gentlemen
Silent Night
O Holy Night
Hark the Herald Angles Sing
Away In the Manger
O Little Town of Bethlehem
Joy to the World

I will play the music though the speakers all night and into Christmas day. Christmas Night the show takes over again.

I hope it works :)

Cheers

What fun

2 hrs with my snowblower, I did 3 houses this year. I had to cut back from what I normally do. My back said it was time to go in.

I'll post some pictures later, rest time

Cheers
