I called them a week ago and ordered 10 cases by phone.  Free shipping and got them a few days later on Friday of last week.

I think the online site is closed, if I remember correctly they were taking orders until Thanksgiving by calling the toll free number, there's another thread here about them.

Yeah, unfortunately, they're shutting down their consumer store.  The parent company will continue to take orders, though, although the $250 minimum order puts it out of range of most hobbyists except in group buys.

So is there an alternate source for cases. I will try calling them to see if I can get one.

Arris is the parent company so that is the correct case and it is the min order amount that is killing it for many.  I was fortunant enough to get an order in for 12 of them before they closed and have them now.  The problem is that they are a fairly large case so doing a coop buy of them from the parent company to get passed the min order amount may prove to be a problem with storing a large number of them prior to shipping and little expensive in shipping them out to the coop members.  I would think that UPS would be much less expensive than USPS as they are light but large and the large fixed rate USPS packages are not cheap to send.

There is one sitting on ebay at the moment:

(scratch that)

There doesn't appear to be any retail sources for these boxes. I think we were getting the Blue Ridge cases because they were closeouts...an overrun of  cases originally created for Blue Ridge cable that the manufacturer AFL Telecom wrote off. The ones I just got were manufactured in 2008.

There are many different cases that would work, but the AFL CG 1500 is a perfect fit for the LE with no modification. I think the only way we will see these available again at a reasonable price is through a coop where someone has procured a bulk purchase quote from AFL or one of their wholesalers.

The CG-1500 enclosures are here, but you have to pay retail price $20 each. Maybe you can call and get a discount if purchasing 5-10

This has been looked at in the past.   The problem is that any savings in per case cost is quickly wiped out by the double shipping....   from the source, to the coop manager and then from the manager to the end user..     The source can often get a pretty good deal on the shipping.....   the coop manager is limited to the going shipping prices.

The best option is to find one or two other fanatics  in your local area and go together on a single purchase (if you are looking for just one or two cases).   The large cases (like the CG1500)  are 6 to a carton.   The best deal on shipping  is to work with multiples of 6.
