VIXEN WILL NOT WORK WITH LYNX EXPRESS.

 I can't get channels to plug in to attachment plugins.

I also get a a error message from test channel.

I have WIN 7 32 bit home. I had someone check the hard ware on XP every thing OK.

Got similar problem, I hope is the same.

If the problem you are getting is in the scheduler make sure Vixen can find the audio files. In my case I had the audio files on different directories than "Audio" then vixen edit area was playing fine but the scheduler was blowing.

I spent a whole day to make Vixen works because of the huge amount of bugs, I really need to sit down and try xLights.

I tried to set the channels in the attachment plugin. It would not take it.

When your setting up you plugins are highlighting Enttec dmx pro I see youve check the box put have you highlighted it . It should let you set up the plugins then

Are you just trying vixen or do you have the dongle connected?

You can use Vixen, create sequences and just the adjustable preview without the dongle connected.
Only enable the dongle when its connected and you want to see real lights

I have already created some sequences.  I have the dongle and LE connected and trying to test and play.

I have higlighted the plug in use.

 I did set the plugin channels in the Attachment plugins. It may not be holding.
The hard wearware work on XP.

OK I closed out Vixen.  And reopened Vixen. Now the other sequences are working as a test without hardware. Will not work with hardware.

Set the number of channels for your plugin to 1..512 like the image below.



Verify the comm port...

Open the device manager:      Start / Run / and then type          mmc devmgmt.msc     in the box

Under ports, locate the communications port, Com1, Com2, etc.
In your case, you should have a COM5 in the list of comm ports.

Sometimes you need to change it from the default comm port assigned to a new one.
Change the comm port to something like 8 instead, save the setting, unplug the dongle and replug it in again.

OK started from scratch. No error messages. Will the LE lights on the board come on threw the test or do you have to hook up to lights test.

The channel LEDs will light up when you test the channel without plugging in lights.
