BOM discrepancy questions
« on: December 20, 2010, »
I'm sorting parts from Mouser for some Ex/Rx units. It appears the "Mouser Direct" link as well as the manual for the Ex/Rx v2 does not agree with the text-based BOM in the wiki.

The text-based BOM lists the regulator as "511-LD1086V33". See You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
The Mouser Direct link and the manual shows the regulator as "511-LD1117V33". See You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Is the lower current one used for colder temps? I ended up with the 511-LD1117V33 because I used the Mouser Direct link. Is this ok?

Also, Mouser was out of stock on the 140-XRL25V100-RC cap. I found the "equivalent" on the Mouser website as 140-REA101M1EBK0611P. Before I begin assembly, can someone let me know if it's ok to substitute with 140-REA101M1EBK0611P?

Thanks for your help,
Dave

511-LD1117V33 is the correct part number. I believe the LD1086V33 was used in one of the coops because the original part was backordered. See the following thread.

Also note that on the BOM for the Tx/Rx there is an alternate 3V regulator listed, this was done to cover a back order condition with Mouser on the original part.

The two caps have the same specs. They are simply different suppliers so it should work fine.
