A case of the Thursday's
« on: December 23, 2010, »
So every single Thursday since Thanksgiving my show stopped working. I reboot the computer unplug the dongle replug and whamo, it works, so odd. I thought it had and it may have something to do with the scheduler but it all seems fine to me. Using Vixen for those interested.

Thursday is usually when I get my Microsoft Soft updates. Maybe turning off updates and placing Vixen in the start up will help you. I even turn my wifi off.  So you know this was my same issue the last few weeks.  Not today. Good luck.

This is a standalone computer not even hooked to the internet. It's barebone!

Do you know if the computer is restarting or is the power saver set at a long period of time time and  it happens to go into power save mode? Screen saver? All of those have issue.

Without look i would say no on power saver. Screen saver does come on but does not seem to cause issues. The only problem is on Thursdays.

Try looking at the events logs

Run app Event Viewer and windows logs (system, application, security)

See if you can find out what is causing the issue

Cheers
