Splitter BOM part questions
« on: August 15, 2008, »
Parts list question.

RJ, I was looking at the BOM for the splitter and it said there were 3 parts that said you get from digikey. Mouser has the parts. Is it on there for cost?

What is the part number for the fuse and fuse holder. It is missing from the parts list BOM.

Is the AC in connector the same as Eurostyle Terminal Blocks 5.0MM ECONOMY 2P 14-24AWG Mouser part 538-39890-0302. It looks like it on one of the pictures. It is missing from the parts list BOM.

There is also a 7805  Voltage Regulator part number missing as well.

Unfortunately I didn't QC the part's BOM close enough before ordering. Time for another Mouser order.  ;D

I'm about to make my Mouser order for the Splitter as well as the Dongle... I guess the BOM needs updating?  I also saw a 115V Transformer on the BOM.  Am I safe in assuming (and you know what happens when you assume) that I need to change this for 220V operation?

John:

That is a Digi-Key part and it is only for 115v; it looks to me from the catalog that what you want is Digi-Key part No. 567-1019-ND.

But, I could be wrong  ;)

Same connector as the one on the SSR4.

I have updated the BOM.

RJ, thanks for updating the Splitter BOM.

Are there fuse/fuse holder parts numbers?  I may not know what I'm looking at but I don't see them there.

Are there equivalent Mouser part numbers for the two Digikey items?  I'd rather not have to make orders from two different vendors.

Hi Folks,

Just wanted everyone to know that the part number for Digikey Transformers are missing a dash

the BOM shows 567-1013ND while the correct number is 567-1013-ND

same for the 230 volt version

567-1019-ND should be 567-1019-ND

I also noticed that the ssr4 BOM was missing the part number for the '2 pin terminal block' I assume it's the same as the SSROZ 2 pin terminal block.

Strange in the updated BOM there is a 2 pin terminal block      651-1935310

Unless there is something different?

Guys, I think this is the wrong number. Just assembled my splitter and the screws on this part face the wrong direction. (SIDE) 651-1935310 Two position terminal block for power

This one for the Freestyle should work better.  RJ, If you read and concur could you change the BOM?

651-1935310  is the correct part number for this. It has been used on all of mine and the SSR4 coops also. It is suppost to be with the screw on the side and wire in the top.

Not saying your not able to use the other but this is the intended part.
