you have a section for dongles an what com port,
could you add a section for the E1.31 interface (for DR4 users)
thanks, great work

Can you create a blank 16 channel seq with E1.1 plugin attached and send me the file? I don't have the E1.1 and I need to see how its configured. In fact I need to add Pixelnet also  <fp.

Cheers

If anybody is interested

I now have VSB reading and loading profiles into the program. It gets all of the data (colors, description, etc)

Its not ready to be released and I still need to do the save part but I like it.

Cheers

Rick R.

P.S. To be honest I am hoping we don't even need this program either this year or next

Rick,
Thanks for all of your work on this. The ability to import my profile and then add all of the SSC and nodes would be a huge time saver.
I am committed to Vixen for this year. I already have a lot of time wrapped up in sequencing my regular lights. Now I need to start sequencing my SS.
If some new software comes out, I am going to let everyone else work out the bugs.

Editing my main profile would be great for rgb,
could you do like a channel output order as well, cause im having to move outputs around cause ive read the ren boards an soldered light 1 to output 4 etc, which it too hard to change now, so ive been slowly doing it in my main profile.
thanks an keep up the great work.
ps hows the e1.31 going?

P.S. To be honest I am hoping we don't even need this program either this year or next

You were working on adding other sort options.  Sounds like you are doing much more now to it.  I like what you done so far.  I guess using my old profile would save time bu just adding the rgb into it.  I was just fine with cutting and pasting each sequence into my new profile.  But this would be a big time saver to be able to just edit.  But I am also making some changes to my show so the profile needs to be edited anyway.  I am wanting to get busy on changing my show's profile soon.  Should I wait for your new program or go with what you have on sorting now in VSB?  What do you mean by "P.S. To be honest I am hoping we don't even need this program either this year or next"?  Does this mean it may not be ready for a while?

Thank You so much for what you have done so far.

Ron

Hello, I cannot get the 1st Vixen startup video to work.  Are there any other links that help you with the initial basic instructions to setup first profile, sequence. etc.

Of course the first video is still available here:

Now that I have my Smart Strings working I was wondering if you ever modified VSB to load in and save to an existing profile.  I tried doing a search on VSB but was unable to find anything about using it on profiles other than this post.  Thanks

Sorry at this time I don't see a version coming out that supports the profile.

Thanks for creating and releasing this program it really helped me to build my profile by creating a sequence and then using that to create the profile.  I have two requests for a future release should there be one.

1. change the color of the blue to something lighter.  I can not read the channel label in Vixen since it comes up as black lettering on dark blue.  I fixed it by manually changing the first couple of nodes and then using an xml editor I did a replace of the dark blue with a lighter blue.

2.  Add the ability to do some configuration of 512 channels of DMX.  I spent 2 hours yesterday doing a new color sort in vixen to get the dmx channels integrated into the sort of the RGB nodes and then lost it.  And I know the ctrl click fast way of doing it, but with almost 4000 channels it is a real pain to do a custom sort.

Is anyone still using this program?

If so would you be interested in a update to it?

Rick,

I have not tried it as I am new to Vixen but would love to.  Can you post a link to your latest and greatest version?

Thanks,
- Mark
