with the pixelnet firmware, the dongle will output pixelnet.
to use dmx, you'll need to string off from the hub.
an option i'm using is to keep one dongle with the dmx firmware, and to have one with pixelnet.
for those with only one dongle you could keep a second pic on hand, one each flashed with the different protocols. (just mark them to keep track)
