SS Order arrives

Rcv'd partial order...  the wire colors are as follows:
Flex strips:  V+ = Rd ; DI = Bl ; Gnd = Gn
Rectangles: V+ = Rd ; DI = Gn ; Gnd = Bl
Squares:      V+ = Rd ; Di = Gn ; Gnd = Bl
128 String with input side up the order of colors from left to right are Bl,Gn,Rd   - which appears to be just opposite of the wiki doc.
Still awaiting the 50 node strings.

Be sure to count your nodes. I ordered 9 100ct strings and 1 string had 99 and another only 86.

Wow, that's a bit distressing.  Sounds like quality control may be lacking given problems with 20% of your order.

I wonder how many other users have even bothered to count?

Made me go count mine:
ordered 6 strings of 128 nodes each:
Got:
1 string 118 nodes
1 string 120 nodes
1 string 121 nodes
1 string 130 nodes
2 string 128 nodes

So 23 nodes short, guess I'll send Ray a email and see what he says.

They probably go by length. not figuring in that the wires between could be a little longer or shorter between nodes. I have some 2801 strings each have 42 nodes. none of them are the same length. That is really sucky I have not ordered my SS yet.

I would say everyone should count their strings I will be. If they are not right do not approve payment until it is made right with you.

I also counted my 5050 square rgb module string which was supposed to have 20 modules on it and it only had 19.

We are paying by the node.
I already put my shipment in the attic. I will get it down and count the nodes.

I received my order last Friday and after reading this post I went through and counted my nodes.  I had ordered 16 strings of the 70 node strings and with the exception of two strings everyone of mine were actually 74 nodes per string.  I am not sure if this was because Ray asked me for an extra week and I gave it to him so I got extra nodes OR just got lucky instead of being shorted.  I guess the good thing is that since there is a large amount of members here who may order from Ray we can use that as leverage to make sure everyones order is satisfactory.  As RJ said, make sure you count your order when it comes in and don't mark the order complete until your satisfied.

Jeff they are 50 and 75 count I do not think there were 70 count so you sure you are not short one node on each.

JJ will be counting ours tommorrow so it will be interesting to see where we come out. We counted the one I was testing with and it was 76 so it was over by one node.

    Sheesh you would have thought I would keep the information at hand... I did a recount and they are all 75 node except for 1 which is a 76 node.  The better news is I am not gong to need all 75 nodes for my mega tree any way so I will have a few spares to work with. Thank you RJ for not only pointing out my error but doing the all the work to create the smart strings in the first place.

I got my order today. On the surface, everything arrived - until I started counting the nodes. I will post the numbers latter when I finish counting but it is not good. However, I have a question. Is the best way to handle this to send a message to Ray Wu directly or open a dispute on AliExpress?

I would send Ray a message to give him the first chance to correct the problem.
