RJ, this sounds great.  My family of 4 will be ready and willing.  I can volunteer for something I am pretty sure.  Kevin

I don't think I can attend, but since my wife is from FL ... there is a chance.  My kids do have spring break in March, which is rarely nice in CO, but probably great in FL !

It is the best time in Florida (in the 70's with low humidity) that's why we are doing it then. The weather is a little on the hot side later in summer to do it then. Not many Northerners handle 95 deg with 80% humidity too well.

95 degree weather with 80% humidity?   that's Pennsylvania!  hehe

a couple summers ago, my brother had our neice visit from Arizona.  She said that she didn't like to go outside b/c it was too hot. She felt like she could lick the air.

I need another choice on the poll.  Any date.  My calendar doesn't go out that far yet.  The only question I would ask is when is Easter 2012?

Easter 2012 is April 8th and of course Good Friday is the 6th

Planning around the better weather would be encouraging.
Humidity turns my glasses into diffusers.
And if I sit still, I start to rust.

Count me in. I'd like to be able to present/teach Olive in the educational scheduling, if possible.

Thanks,

Sure!

We will have lots of slots open with the length of it. Two full days of different classes in multiple rooms. Maybe One room be things like hanging lights, building mega trees ect.
Next Room be like all different Software and hardware stuff,
And one room just for building and troubleshooting, setup for the full time so people can stop and go take in a class and return to their work.

Outside we will setup a welder and give intros to welding for lighting.

The idea is to make it "THE EVENT" for DIY'ers to attend every year!

Last night word came down from swmbo and stated that the last weekend in March would be a bad idea since the week before Easter airlines start raising their prices for air travel because schools are on break and Easter. So early to mid March would be the better times for airplane tickets. For the Disney lovers March is also High School Senior trip time.

just relaying a message :)

Cheers

It looks like it's the friday night , Saturday and Sunday Stating March 23th - the 25th.

Friday Night will be a meet and greet social get together.
Saturday at 8AM we will start the day with an keynote explaining everything and how it works so you do not miss anything.

8:30am we begin the first set of classes and open the builders training lab.
Kids and others head off to a day at Logo Land. For the rest we will have some things going on such as classes at Michaels for crafts and shopping.

Lunch will likely be catered in for us for Saturday.

The day closes at 4pm with everyone heading back to the rooms to freshening up for the trip.
We will depart approximately at 6:00 pm via motor coach to dinner and show at Arabian Nights.

We will return you to the hotel Approximately 11 pm.

Sunday starts late at 10am to allow you all to rest.

For the kids and kids at heart it will be a half day at a water park.

We will Have additional classes and the builders lab will be open again all day. The classes will include different Seqencing software where it is and where it is going. You will be able to not only ask questions but try out the software on live equipment (all DIY).

The day closes out early at approximatly 3 pm (don't worry about the room check out as I am working them to allow us late check outs.) If I can do it I am trying yo get us in a hotel with a conference rooms for the classes so you do not have to travel and can come and go between the room and classes as you want.

I have much work to do but am starting this early. I need more input on if we have enough people to put this together so please give me an idea if you plan to be here. If we can not get enough interest it will not be possible to put it together.

Rick I checked with Walt Disney World and they tell me the crowds are just average the last week of March. It is Easter and the middle weeks in March that tend to be busy for them.

I can make it as I am off those whole days. But I will not need a hotel and would just drive over everyday. I also wouldn't need to take the bus to Arabian Nights, as I live in Orlando and would just want to drive myself there. I don't have any kids to partake in the other festivities.
