MR 16 Wireless?????
« on: May 31, 2011, »
I do not see it in the BOM but can the MR 16 be run wireless with RJ's  units? Does the receiver solder direct to the PCB?

based on the 2 reply's the EX receiver DOES NOT connect direct to the board.
I have looked at the WIKI & am not very sure how this will work Does the 535-08-600-10 replace the replace the RS485 chip or do I need to solder this in place of the RS485 & then replace the chip on top. This is a learning year for this old man I am converting over from LOR so sorry for all the questions.

Hi Mike,

There is a header that is required. You then solder the wires (RC controller wires off of Ebay, RJ recommended and they work great) to the header and to the EX/RX board in the holes shown in the picture, and your ready to go, have fun,

Bill

You unplug the chip and remove it and then plug the header in place of the chip.

Yes, as long as the TX/RX is in RX mode :)
