Well I got 1 of my SS hubs assembled, minus the 100 ohm resistor and 2 SS controllers.
I was also missing one of the 150 ohm 1% resistors (I had 2 kits and the other kit had it). They must have missed it in my CAT scan.
It's no big deal because I will just tack it on the order I will do shortly with mouser anyways.
Pics below for the people that wanna see.

I don't have any caps for the SS controllers so it is just the boards.
Over all the assembly process for both was pretty easy compared to an Express.

Thanks again Bill.

The question is can I use the power input screw terminals I have left over from the Lynx Express ( only using 1 input on the LE) as the output power to the passive hub without any other modifications?

Thanks

There is more to it than just the input screw terminals. There is a heat sink, caps and regulators. If you need a kit, I have a couple. I can send 1 to you.

John,
Thanks, but I am not going to be running it off of just a 12 volt source, I have a computer power supply to run the board. The extra caps and regulators are specific to running the board on just 12 volts.

I just wanted to clarify what I remember reading is correct. I believe RJ stated that you could feed out from the optional 12 volt spot to a passive hub power in.

I used a couple of the LE terminals to do what you are saying and I have measured the needed 12v at the terms - so running the 12v feed from your hub should work just fine.

Thanks Charles.

I thought I had remembered that RJ said you could do that. Just not able to test it myself yet.
