I've starting checking parts before I assemble to make sure I have the right ones. Checked the LED for the Hub with a watch battery, and sure enough 1 of the 2 LEDs for the 2 hubs I am building wasn't working. And yes, I made sure the orientation was correct... that's easy to do before they are installed.
I have a few spare LEDs around from other projects, but I don't know enough about them to know if it is going to have enough power to light the LED or too much and overload it when attached to the hub. Is there anyway to tell when they are just laying around and not in any packing to know their specs?
If not, what are the critical things I need to know to get one from the Shack?
