SSC acting up

Flexible Ribbon Lights got stuck on blue and when I felt the board (after unplugging power right away) the 7805 three pin rectifier was unusually warm other than the solder joints, any idea what might cause this?

 <fp. This was a simple one! There was a tiny wire fragment creating a bridge between the three solder joints that I couldn't see last night. Working perfectly now!
