If you had an EtherDongle which was flashed for Pixelnet and fed it regular dmx data (without using a pixelnet output plugin) would you get false activity on the smartstrings as some of the dmx at might contain x'170' bytes. Where is the x'170' converted to x'171' - by the dongle, the plugin, hub or perhaps the ssc?
