Smart String Flexiable Mounting solution

i found this while i was looking for some way to mount the flex strip SS...but is the flexstrip 8mm or thinner?

Or coroplast from holidaycoro.com He has some bigger diffusers that look great.

If you take the strip out of the silicone jacket, it's .470" (~15/32) / ~12mm wide.  With the silicone it's .625" (~5/8) / ~16mm wide.
