Today the Halogen work light is on special for $5.99 each.. Just thought I would share in case people were looking.  It is a tad bit smaller than last years, but I was able to place the heat sink in with out to much of a problem.

How did you get such a smoking deal on the transformer?  Do they have any more?  I would gladly give you five dollars plus shipping to pick me up one if there are more.

It was a luck of the draw thing.  It had been returned, box in bad shape, no longer carried and so forth.  Clearance item.  But it would not ring up on the register and I had to wait awhile so they just gave it to me for 5 bucks.  I think they sell for like 60-80.  Its 600 watts.

I tried the UPC no results on HD.com.  Do you have the 6 digit SKU on your receipt?  Sorry to be a pain but HD is 40 miles away and I need a few so I will order online if possible.  Free shipping.

Try calling them. They told me it is a floor special. You may not be able to buy them on line.

Has any one successfuly mounted an Aether in these. If you did how much modification to the heatsink was needed

Yes. It takes a couple of extra bend on the heatsink. Very easy with a vice or a strong concrete crack. I had no issues with the new style light. Remember home depot has two diff. erent lights and you will not want the light with the H style stand. The light pictured above is correct and is a special item for the depot. Or
