I have a pickit2 but no adapters for the bare chips. I'd appreciate any advice about how to program the PIC used in the dongle. I saw a bunch on J1 systems ( I think I have that right) but I'm not sure I they will work, which one to get, and how to use it?

Thanks!

This will work fine

Just plug your pickit2 into it and the dongle pic. Set jumpers on L

Download hex file from wiki and import into Pickit Utility
Write hex code
All done

Sorry one last question. The jumpers go on the locations with just the singular letter L or on all the locations where an L is present? I can see two spots with a singular L and 4 more with an L and other letters.

Hi,

Jumpers go in all locations where you see the letter L.
