Multimeter Testing?
« on: November 13, 2011, »
Are there any tests that can be performed to help diagnose issues on the Aether II with my multimeter?

I have a basic understanding of my meter and have used it so far to do some continuity checking and to verify certain resistors are what they should be when building the boards...

I am interested in that answer too.

I have used the continuity tester (ohm meter) to test my solder connections by using the test points on the board.  I measure from the lead to the trace that leads to a small hole in the board (done for a good number of connections) and I should get NO resistance.  That tells me that the soldered connection is good.

If there are other tests, I'd love to learn of them.

Meter should report back like 0.6 or something right? Negligible resistance ...
