Making Snow
« on: December 09, 2011, »
Hey, has anyone tried making snow yet?  I was looking at snsnowmaking.com and it is something I want to try.  Biggest problem is going to be waiting for27 degrees in Houston!

i think by the time i'd get around to start trying to make snow, i'd have to shovel the sidewalks from the real snow that fell  : )
To rule the entire tri-state area!  What's that? Perry the Platypus!!!

Friend had a couple of "snow" machines.  They were ok during the day, but it was hard to see unless it was lit very well at night.
It's not about more, it's about enough.

Well in Texas, we would be lucky to see any snow. Please send down what you can!

Hmm I seem to remember seeing snow at Disney World

To be exact it was Hollywood Studios Osborne Family of Lights and I think they were using shaved ice and blowing it out into the street. Cool effect but it didn't last long :)

Btw: I hope not see any real snow here until January. The past two years my show got buried by the snow

Cheers

Last time I was at Disneyworld at night for Mickeys Very Merry Christmas , they had similar foam blowers very high on the rooftops along main street. I think they did this so most of the soap would disperse instead of slippery stuff accumulating on the  walkways. It would be fine to mount on the roof and blow into the yard. There are also DMX controllable versions, but most are around $400.
