Eather Dongle Use
« on: December 12, 2011, »
With the pending shipment of the Eather Dongle kits ( thanks for the hard work RJ and JJ  & co.)  <res., I would like to know what if any of the bata testers are using the dongle in the 2011 show and how is it performing. Just being nosey.

My device has been working flawlessly and I absolutely love it.  Setup in both LSP and xLights is vastly simplified once you understand the basics.  The USB dongle was good, but setting up multiple dongles was a pain.  Sometimes the dongle wouldn't be detected by Windows.  I have had none of these issues with the Etherdongle. Read the thread I started on using the Etherdongle with LSP for setup information.  Its helpful to understand the number scheme.  I think you will find the Etherdongle well worth the wait.  Now, I can't wait for the conductor and eliminate the PC and scheduler software.

I'm using mine in my 2011 show and have seen absolutely no issues.  I'm running it in DMX mode and feeding it into my Lynx wireless.

No, I have no video in my display.  Just my LED matrix which I hope to get back up and running today.
