EtherDongle/Lynx Express knowledge check
« on: December 29, 2011, »
As I am new to the Blinky-Flashey world, a check on my understanding would help me. ANY comments would be great.

I start by getting the EtherDongle PCB from RJ, and all the parts from Mouser then solder it all up. I need the EtherDongle so I can run up to 2048 channels of DMX at first, then up to 16384 channels of PixelNet (after the wife allows me to buy the Smart Strings),

I get a Lynx Express (again, PCB from RJ and the parts from mouser) for every 16 channels I wish to control with DMX (up to 128 Lynx Expresses from the one Dongle).

Connect the computer, Dongle, and Express with Cat5.

I control the show with Vixen.

or you can wait, and get the items as coops are available throughout the year.

if you look at the for sale area, the first post, should be what pcb's rj has available now.

but yes, you got it right.
To rule the entire tri-state area!  What's that? Perry the Platypus!!!

EtherDongles will only be available through a coop. RJ has said that there will be no extra PCB's.
