WTB - Bobcat DMX Tester, PCB or kit
« on: February 29, 2012, »
I'd like to buy a Bobcat DMX Tester whether a PCB or the kit.

Anyone have an extra or two?

Thanks,
John

Let me make sure everyone has what they ordered and I'll see what's left over.  I expect to have a few tester kits and a few servo PCBs.

I'm also interested in one of the tester kits if you have enough.

Thanks,
Jerry

I have a version 1 board available. 3 resistors would have to be put in place for it to work; the version 2 has these resistors in place.

I missed your reply...  What's the difference between the Version 1 board and the Version 2 board?  Is it just the resistors?

yea just the resistors. Heres a post in the beta tester stuff. I had received a ver 1 & 2 while testing. I only built the ver 2. The post can be found at You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

FYI for any of you beta testers that were given Rev1 boards. There is a mod that needs to be done to add two resistors to the control side of the board. The two resistors needed are part of the BOM.

Oh, by the way, the symptoms associated with not having these resistors in place is that it will not send DMX out via the RJ45 jack when there's no Ex/Rx installed. So it's only an issue without the wireless option.

I've posted a photo that shows how to identify the Rev1 board as well as the mod. Rev2 boards do not required this mod.

Hi,

Sorry to hijack thread, but I am also interested on obtaining the PCB for the tester. Please let me know if some one has spares or where can I obtain them.

Thanks

Emmanuel

Send a PM to n1ist.  He's near the top of this thread.

He ran a coop a while back.

Mine is now operational after finding a solder bridge yesterday(amazing what good lighting and a big photo uncovers). Works like a champ.
