47K resistor
« on: March 11, 2012, »
Can I build and test an Express with one 47K resistor missing? My plan was to leave the one for channel 16 empty, build the rest of the Express and test it, order a new resistor and install it when I get it. I would hate to mess anything else on the express up over a 32 cent part. Thanks,George

You are fine, the 47K resistor is for the flicker problem on some types of LED strings not for incandescent type strings.

The part should not cost more that 10-12 cents unless you are buying it at RS.

Thanks Dennis, I use mainly use LEDs so I can use the 47k, it's the ocd side of me that is crazed over it being missing! I even pulled the paper stripping that holds them together at their ends out of the garbage and counted the 15 slots that are in each side, twice!
