I used light show pro - it supports the back and forth numbering.

The video in the corner shows what was mapped onto the tree.
Animation on the sign was done using the matrix animator in LSP.

Also, I was one of the early ss node orders... There were about 4 malfunctioning strings when I shot the video.

Most of those nodes started working again after drying out for a few weeks...

The rigid strips also had issues near the end, but they also cleared up after drying out. This year I'll either build a case or wrap the sign in plastic...

The new IP68 nodes are sealed where the IP67 nodes I have we're not.

I would avoid using plastic as that tends to trap moisture and holds it against the nodes until it gets in.  What may work would be to build a case for it with a plastic or plexi front and vents.  This would protect the nodes from direct water contact and still let the humidity escape.
