2.5.08 - Anyone Else?

I've been sequencing and running my shows on Vixen 2.5.08 for a couple of years now with no issues whatsoever. I really want to add some smart strings, but without an output plugin for the etherdongle,  I'm SOL. I tried to revert my sequences back to Vixen 1.0 with a downgrade utility I found, but that didn't seem to work and I'd have to completely rebuild my profile anyway....several hours more work.  If I try to install the pixelnet.dll in 2.5, it never appears in the dropdown list..and I know I'm in the right directory since I've altered the list to make sure that s where it's pulling the .dlls from. 

Anyone else in the same boat? Just wondering what you've done or plan to do.

Anyone familiar enough with Vixen to venture a guess at how hard it would be to decompile the existing dll and modify it for 2.05.08?

Ran my show last year using vixen 2.1.4

Funny I created a 2.5 pixelnet plugin and some members tested it and said it worked. Not sure what is causing the issue for you.

But decompling others code to use is not even legal, much less nice.

On the Wiki I only see a plugin for the EtherDongle for Vixen 2.1

There are pixelnet plugins for the USB Dongle for Vixen 2.1 and 2.5.

Sorry, no malicious intent there. Knowing you're stretched real thin, I was just thinking out loud that if one of our members had the skills, we might be able to figure it out on the side and provide some code back to you that already works. Feel guilty always asking for stuff, and want to pitch in if I can.

Back on topic...
I downloaded the 2.5 pixelnet.dll and reprogrammed a spare USB Dongle for Pixelnet. That worked great and I now have a way to create some RGB blinky with Vixen 2.5.08. I'll table the ETD for now and revisit it when a plugin become available.

I was wondering where this is at? I am all set up to use the Lynx EtherDongle, Lynx Wireless, and  some Lynx Express boards in conjunction with a lot of converted Renard's to DMX for my show this years. Of course I had also been using 2.5 with no problems. I really don't want to have to reprogram if I don't have to. Anyone know of a converter to revert back to 2.1. If I have to redo everything I don't want to wait till the last minute. Any updated thoughts RJ? Thanks a bunch.
