That's really cool. When I first saw it, I thought it was a continuous fall of water with some kind of projector hitting it to make the graphics. I didn't realize it was something akin to inkjet tech.

I'm betting it was more costly than a same-sized board of smart strings and requires more maintenance.

Ive seen some DYI attempts at similar devices.....a lot has to do with the "laminar flow" of water to get it to flow correctly.

This is extreme but explains pretty well the "cohesiveness" of the flow versus the turbulent bubbler effect from your garden hose.
