Greetings,,,

I can't get more here than a paranoid icicle with delusions of flakedom, and you get a nice white blanket of reflective dreams...

And what color are those license plate letters?

28 February 2009

Well I was at Lowes today and decided I would check out the electrical isle.
I found they had the 6 foot white cords on clearance and I had a $10.00 off $50.00 Lowes coupon with me :)
So you know what that means. :)  I only found 32 at first but after digging around I found 34 more hidding on the back of the shelf.

Greetings,,,,

Think the orange leds are due to Halloween bleed over.  You have to wait until Turkey Eve for the coloration to clear.

Keith

Ah that explains it

Thanks

Bill,

You keep breaking my heart with the different colors. I guess I will need to come up with the right correct action to you!  Hum! what will that be?

Bill, in your original Adventure you featured a 2-piece FM transmitter.

Where did you get it?

I got the 1Watt FM transmitter from EBay.  They are hard to find now.
But several others have gotten the .5 and .2 versions and have had good results.

There's a lot of how-to's on building your own FM transmitter. I was curious about watts vs feet though.

Bill does your 1 watt with good line-of-sight transmit far?

There's a schematic for a 15 watt fm tranmitter that falls below the FCC limits (200 feet from house) that I thought about building.

Wow, Adam unless you're planning on running a true pirate radio station I don't think you should even consider over a watt.  This past year I turned my transmitter down to a little under 25 milliwatts. The signal was clean for about 1000 feet on flat terrain using a well tuned dipole on a 10' pole outside.

IMO, this is one case where "more power" isn't a good thing.
