Express Start Channel
« on: August 19, 2012, »
Ok, to get my head around this....

Active Hub, Pixelnet Unv #1

I want to run 4 express controllers at the end of PU#1 - so I am setting DMX jumper on #8, and starting the express channel number at 480 for the 1st controller...

Is that correct?  Cause I get no ouput to 480, if I set them to channel 1 and move dmx jumper to #1 it works fine...  where is my thinking flawed?

Thanks
Myk

where are you getting 480?

You leave you express set to channel #1

Then when you send stuff to channel 3585 you will see stuff.

The eighth set of dmx starts at 3585.

8 X 512 = 4096

Right but if I want to use the last 32 channels of the unv #8 dmx would it not be 480?   Hence pixelnet channel 4032?

I am trying to push them all they way to the end of that #8 universe....

Actually, the pixelnet channel would be 4065 and that would be the starting channel that you need to sequence for in the software with the jumper on the hub set to 8 and the Express starting address set to 481
