Got my etherdongle in the mail today, and got it all soldered!

Quick question though: is the PIC already programmed, or do I have to program it myself?

Doh!  That's what I thought. I had assumed the pickit2 would work. But now I see I need a pickit3.

Did that show last year (Willy Wonka the Musical).  Won two technical awards (for the wonkavater scene which was a mix of pratical and video effects) and general technical merit.  I was the lead tech and video designer for the show.

As they say, patience is a virtue...one I don't have, mind you, but a virtue none-the-less! *grin*.  In the immortal words of Ko-Ko in Gilbert & Sullivan's Mikado - "I have a little list"... and you are on it, so don't worry.  I will get to you!

btw, I like your process improvement -- sending kits out in the order payed.
it rewards early payment, and is an incentive for others to consider this in future coops.
early payment benefits everyone because it allows for early ordering of parts.

Agreed and it is the most fair way -- IMO.  It also helps with my bookkeeping as well (between spreadsheet, gmail, and paypal).

I am trying to get as much shipped before Sunday as possible.  I am hopeful that I will have cleared everything that I have parts for (so far that is 120 kits).  However, there is a distinct possibility I will not make my deadline.  Why is this important?  Because I am going on a business trip to Orlando for a week and I really don't want to delay everyone a week, if I can avoid it.  (I will be at the Gartner ITExpo if anyone else is going!)  I am telling you now, so that you know if you were one of the later payees, you may not get your stuff until near Halloween.  I apologize if that really puts a damper on your Halloween plans for your show.

Again, I will do everything possible to try to get it all out before I leave Sunday PM, but I want you to know now that this may not happen.

I have received a PM that the DC power adapter does not fit the board.  If you have an issue with the power adapter not fitting the board, I need to know immediately.  Since I have only heard this from one member so far, I don't consider it a trend and could very well be a 'one-off'.

I just received my package today and just checked them and they fit properly.

All,

I have good news and bad news.

First the good.  I was able to ship out 51 boxes over the weekend and fill all the orders that completes the first 120 PCBs that I have. 

Now the bad.  I haven't received the final 23 PCBs which means there are 21 of you folks who have not had your COOP order shipped yet.  I expect they will arrive this week.  I will be out of town the entire week on travel for work, so realistically, these orders will be going out the week after next.  This is the week of halloween.

I had issues with the power adapter not fitting the board on all five of mine.  The sides were very snug going into the holes and I had to curve the edges a little.  The back tab on all of them were too big.  I had to take my snippers and trim a little off the tab in order for it to fit.  I assembled all of them and tested so I know it worked.  I just made sure to put some extra solder on all the power tabs to make sure it got a good connection to the board and tabs.

I need to retract my statement above.  I thought I read DC/DC converter chip. 

The DC inlet adapter does have one leg that is too large but as stated above looks like it can be modified easily with a wire cutter to slim it down without too much trouble.
