Conductor and Video???
« on: September 25, 2012, »
Has anyone thought about how to run video with the conductor? I know that the conductor itself won't run video, but I do use video in my show and am trying to figure out how I would "sync" them. Maybe I just need to run off computer another year, but I am open to any suggestions.

OK So I am just catching up on things and somewhat found the answer to my question in RJ's 2nd Conductor video, but I am still not sure how the "Sync" will work. If I am running my media through my computer and the lights (Channels) through the slave, how do they stay in time?

You are ahead of the game.

There is a way but it is not avaliable yet. The softwares have to support the system and the slave is not out yet so the software people do not have the info needed yet to make this happen. Once the Beta is done on the Slaves then the info can be provided to allow the seqence software to create and send the sync packets. This will allow you to only use Slaves (no conductor needed in this setup) and so the video playing and the seq on the show will be in sync.
