Conductor Template
« on: November 05, 2012, »
Is there going to be a template available to make the cut in the side of the EtherDongle case for the memory card?
If at first you don't succeed,
your not cut out for sky diving

I cut out my first one tonight to get it to fit and was a little big to make sure I could see exactly where the cuts need to be.

I will make the cuts on my second one probably tomorrow and if my template is good, i can make it and or the dimensions available.

Is a template truly necessary??  It took about 30 seconds to lay out the lines, 1 minute to scribe them, and another 30 seconds to pull out the material.

I can see it you are building 20 of them how it would be useful, but if you are just building one....???

What are you using to "pull out the material"?

Uni-bit, drilling a half inch hole in the middle then use a pair of pliers to break the poly at the scribe lines...it can be pulled with the pliers after that.

Sam, who is happy he flashed his etherdongle with newest firmware!

^  I agree...it is fairly worthless without photos.  I will add some this evening when I get back home this evening.

I have added a sketchup image that shows what I am talking about....I will add actual photo when I get home from work

well, I was considering a smaller, separate hole for the ICSP pins but that would work!
