tapatalk question

This is an android tapatalk question.  I get a notification of new message on a topic I am subscribed to.  I click on the link and tapatalk opens to that thread.  It appears the I cannot get out of that thread if I enter tapatalk from the notification.  Is that true?  I can open tapatalk normally, ie. not from the notification and I can navigate all the threads.  I have clicked and used finger slides and the menu all to no avail.

I have never had this happen to me.  I use taptalk with Droid Razr MAXX and using the back button (a curved arrow on my phone) gets me back to the topics listing.

Pressing the back button returns me to the home screen except when I start the app by clicking on the app button.  The problem only occurs when the app starts from clicking on a notification.

That is weird.  I don't think I have notifications set up so it is probably why I have never experienced this from TapTalk.

The 3 dots bring you to People/Members online and Favorites

3 dots do nothing.  Now I just exit the app and then restart it from the regular icon.  Apparently starting the app via a notification causes tapatalk to allow it to show only the thread the notification was from even if there are 8 or 9 pages on that thread.  I can look at any page, but cannot get out of the thread without exiting the app and restarting it.
