My first year i purchased my leds from kaxled, direct from china.  Quality was great, and the price per bulb with shipping was comparable to xmas sales pricing ...  I use $0.10/bulb as my price point.

The cheapest is to find a member on PC and buy their excess stock.   Look at the classifieds regularly .
