dumb rgb strings

ok i am gettin my feet wet, I have recieved a string of dumb rgb WS 2801 IP68 50cnt. also I have built a DCSSR ver.2.4 from labrat and it looks like I need a ren also to use the dcssr? my ? is are their any lnyx stuff i can use to light up the rgb strings and controll them. These are 5 volt, total newbie at all this any suggestions are welcome and NEEDED.

2801 is not a dumb string. it has an IC on it, and needs a controller. You'll find more info about it on the other website.

Dumb strips have no IC at all on the strings, just leds, and resistors.
To rule the entire tri-state area!  What's that? Perry the Platypus!!!
