I spend my time mostly on another site but I thought I would keep those interested up to date.

I am please to release beta version 7D of HLS.

I have add a complete animation package to HLS.

HLS will accept your song's lyrics in text format - allow you to place each word in your sequence - and then generate the lighting effects for the different mouth positions for each word.

You can manage up to 20 different Faces within an HLS sequence.

The hardest part for the user is placing the WORDS in the right position and proper duration and then making each mouth position the proper duration.

I think I have removed 60% to 80% of the work out of synchronizing Monster Faces to music.

Please use the DSP functions of HLS to help extract the vocals from the instrumentals thereby making WORD placement very easy.

I have made two quick videos that highlight how to use this capability.

Enjoy.

Joe

Just curious if you had a site to download and demo the software beta?

UPDATE
I just wanted to let you all know about my experience this year using HLS to run my show.

Been using LOR software since 2008 and got use to it. The last 2 years my display was not working correctly, pushing the envelope on sequencing, also started using some DMX. After many emails to LOR i got there attention and finally they looked at my problem and discovered the problem, I will not go into that here.

This year my display network changed to E1.31 using three universes and still running LOR S3, most of my past issues where fixed, but the two sequences that gave me problems still did not look right.

I have followed the HLS posts for the past 2 months and did some experimenting of the software, you can now import Vixen and LOR sequences into HLS.

Yesterday, after some more testing I converted my whole display to HLS and all my issues with timings went away and finally after three years could see everything work that way it should.

If you have not looked at this software, I recommend that you seriously start looking at it for 2013.  New features will be added starting next year.

The lip sync animation sound like a cool feature...
I'll have to check it out when I have some down time.

Getting HLS
I went to the site posted for HLS and my antivirus blocks the site indicating there is malware on the site.
I find this hard to believe but thought I would inquire prior to going there.

Thanks.
